Foundations
Our story began almost two decades ago, not in a boardroom or on a strategy deck, but in the classrooms of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, where two computer enthusiasts discovered a shared passion for using technology to solve real-world challenges.
What started as a series of freelance projects soon grew into something bigger. In 2006, we founded BitStone, determined to transform our curiosity and skills into lasting impact.
Over the years, our small team evolved into a community of more than 100 talented professionals, all driven by the same mission: to craft high-quality software solutions that empower companies around the world.
A Special Bond with Switzerland
From the very beginning, Switzerland played a central role in our journey. The market’s high standards and culture of precision challenged us to grow and sharpen our craft. Collaborating with Swiss companies strengthened our focus on trust, accountability, and building lasting partnerships.

Today, we take this partnership one step further with the launch of our Swiss subsidiary, BitStone Switzerland AG.
With this step, we strengthen collaboration with existing Swiss clients, expand our reach to new ones, and ensure faster response with a dedicated local presence.
We are also delighted to welcome Andreas Götz as CEO of BitStone (Schweiz) AG. With more than 30 years of experience in IT consulting and business development, Andreas brings invaluable knowledge of the Swiss business environment. Most importantly, he shares our values of trust, quality, and sustainable growth.
